Lymphoedema

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a form of massage.

It focuses on the affected area that aims to improve the way in which the lymphatic vessels are working and helps reduce the build-up of fluid.

It includes long, slow, gentle strokes that stimulate the flow of lymph from the affected area through the remaining lymph vessels to nearby or distant lymph nodes.

Libby Timmins is our Lymphoedema Therapist. She incorporates Laser, Enar, Kinesio Tape, MLD and Compression Garments into her treatments.

If you are diagnosed with lymphoedema, it is not uncommon to feel upset or sad. Most people find that these feelings ease with time, as they learn how to manage the condition. Libby can help you along this journey.
